but wow, "rookies?" and "six new recruits?" we've already got that setup (and title) with rookie blue (which, last i heard,
was a hit. might be a canuck show, but it's downloaded in droves in the states). heck, we've even had it before, a long time
ago. anyone remember the rookies (ran from 72-76)? that was a great show.
i also question the decision to add yet another cop show, especially one about beat cops. shows about the guys in uniform
don't usually do well. procedurals like csi are getting tired and boring, too. there's just too much of it all, and with selleck's
new show (blue bloods, which actually looks to be decent so far) the badge-filled-boat seems likely to tip over and sink
soon from too much cargo. the networks really need to learn to diversify in their storytelling, and not keep recycling the
same old stuff over and over from the small handful of categories they always stick to.
