Law & Order: Criminal Intent' Scoop: Kathryn Erbe reteams with Vincent D'Onofrio for final season!

although i appeared to be in the minority, i really liked goldblum's performance and character, and really don't understand
why he bailed. however, having been a huge d'onofrio fan (and adamant that if he came back they absolutely had to get
erbe back, too, for it to make any sense), i'm thrilled at the news. well, all but the bit about there only being eight eps
they'll do before closing the curtain. i'm not a fan of this new(ish) format where shows do half a season's worth of material
and call it a completed season for the entire year. it's been done before, even decades ago, but it was a rarity. now it's
commonplace.

d'onofrio's was for me one of the more compelling creations on tv. what a concept: a truly smart
protagonist. so i'm excited that he and erbe are coming back and yes, irritated at the paltry eight
episode commitment for end the series. i think usa is better for having this show on its air and
will be diminished when it isn't. it's better than nearly all its current shows, especially better
than "psych." ci doesn't fit the new mold of usa series and that is the reason, i'm certain, that
they're only bringing it back for a brief swan song.

are they trying insure wolfe's good will in future?

ci has been treated as some poor black sheep for a long time. but it's always been a quality show.

regular l&o going away, and now ci?
terrible.

i am a huge ci fan and more specifically a goren fan, he undoubtedly made that show what it is.

i'm actually a pysch fan, i find it amusing, but yes cheesy as well. it's nice to see a crime
solving show not take its self so seriously. the bloopers at the end are just too funny.

shattered about there only being 8 ci eps but just the fact that goren and eames are coming back is
fantastic on its own, as i didnt think they would. so if 8 eps is all i'll get i will happily take it.
