bbc best show and 3rd season begin
but still on poor pdtv?
apparently it is because merlin is filmed on super-16, and the bbc has an internal policy of not
making hd masters from super-16 stock. therefore, it doesn't get broadcast on bbc hd, instead it is
broadcast in standard pal (576i) on bbc 1.
at least pdtv means it was captured from a digital broadcast rather than analog...
when you are downloading 350meg hour long episodes you aren't getting them "in hd" to begin
with. so who cares if it's from a digital tv source instead of hd tv.. as long as they are in a 16:9
aspect ratio, that's what counts. if you've somehow found 2+gb copies of this show then by all
means complain because then you would have been wasting your download allowance, if you have
one.
