sgu started weak, but it found its feet towards the end. hopefully it'll be better in s2. not many
shows start off excellent and continue that way; in fact i can only think of bsg atm.
as a long-time stargate fan, i really hope that producers get their act together for the upcoming
season. otherwise, the show will find itself on the chopping block rather sooner than later.
the cliffhanger at the end of the final s01 episode was a good start, though ...
i have to admit that the show has grown on me towards the end of the season - i almost hated it
initially - but 95% of my reason for watching each week was robert carlyle - he's brilliant and his
character is the best character imo.
i generally like the show and have since the beginning. i can see why some say it was slow to start as a few of the
character development episodes were a little tedious. i actually like the dynamic between the flawed characters in this show.
i can honestly say i recently rewatched sg completely and found alot of those episodes were more painful to watch than
anything so far shown in sgu. though, honestly i liked sga best all around and thought it was dropped too early.
aside from the fact that i have not watched one second of this awful show and cannot fathom why he would
stick with this show there are not a whole lot of job offers for him. hence, he is stuck in purgatory until the
show gets canceled early next year.
pretty judgemental to call a show awful when you "have not watched one second" of it. to me this show has alot more
depth of character than the other sg series. not saying its better or worse, but the fact that it's done so differently seems to
have alienated alot of the fans of the original.
i'm so very glad that the weekly mckay bullshit miracle hour is over. i am a longtime stargate fan,
and atlantis was so horrible that it alienated me. i love sgu and i'm glad sgu has taken the
franchise in the direction it has; and i'm glad it's shed viewers who enjoyed that popcorn bubblegum scifi
garbage.
unlikeable at times! try never likeable, his determination to stay on the show means only 1 thing the show will not
get better, why o why can't mgm's money trouble mean the end of this sh*t?
