relax dm. i speak antstorm's language. courtesy of a british english textbook i came across in japan, i
picked up this gem: clear off, chum, or i'll give you one!
antstorm, there are obvious stylistic differences between television on either side of the pond. this is a
natural consequence of different things appealing to different cultures, perhaps? nothing wrong with that,
is there? jeremy brett was a great sherlock holmes, so we are not allowed to enjoy downey jr.?
now, when the us remakes a classic, i can appreciate your concern that it might ruin the image of the
show that you hold dear. but this is being human. every episode features no fewer than 30 minutes of
wereboy whining like a little girl and running around with his pasty ass cheeks out. are you worried that a
us port will sully the awesomeness of this fine television program? seriously, any remake could only be an
improvement.
surely the answer to this is no imagine america trying to take on dr who, please leave this series to who
does it best the bbc find something original syfy or any other american broadcaster should not be allowed
to touch it. one way of looking at this is that the american broadcasters actually think you are that dumb
over there that you wouldnt understand what makes this show great the britishness of it enough said.
