so then what do they call the finale of the series or show?
though the theory of going back in time to resurrect rory is a nifty idea, it cannot happen, remember
the wrift in time erases all existance of whatever is pulls into it, but what of the ring you might ask? the
ring is within a pocket universe which is the tardis which is outside of time and space its self. so there
might be an ever so slight chance that some place in the back of a plucky young red heads mind, rory
still exists which then brings into the praverbial paradox of which is... how to have a man that never
existed... exist. love to see how the doctor solves that one. but as for going back in time and rewriting
it, it won't happen. if it was that simple the doctor could have gone back and rewrote many things like
the war of the time lords, and all the misadventures and losses of the companions, that and stop any
regeneration he didn't want to happen. time is bound by fixed points within time itself, to rewrite these
would unravel the very fabric of time and crumble the very foundations of existance. the doctor simply
would not allow this to happen no matter the cost. that and even if he did go back and rewrote the
moment in time, he would simply just create another alternate reality or simple just visit another reality
to start. 😉 *yes that is a hint, alternate
rory???* time lords - lords of time, space... and realities.
but the doctor really must remember to put the tardis shields up...
i'm not sure what they would call the whole show's finale since i haven't seen any complete uk tv show.
i just know that "in the united kingdom, on the abc in australia and in other countries, these sets
of episodes are referred to as a series"
tv shows are called series in the uk as they are broadcast weekly with no gaps or repeats in their
run. i.e they are shown serially. unlike in the us where they broadcast a season with multiple
breaks in its scheduling, eg shows often go off air from november to january.
a finale is what we'd call the last ever episode of a series. it's extremely unlikely doctor who will
ever have one of these. if for some bizarre reason the viewing figures (and merchandising income)
ever take a massive nose dive it just won't be recommissioned for a while. just like the 80's when
the show was taken off the air for 20 years.
is it just me or are none of you taking into account the piece of debries that the
doctor pulled from the crack at the end of the ep... a peice of what causes the bang...
can't wait to see how they explain the apparent paradox of the crack and the tardis existing at the
same time/non-time.
it seems to me that the tardis exploding, imploding, or otherwise being destroyed violently might be
powerful enough to a crack in space/time. i mean, it was turned into a paradox machine that allowed
an impossible reality where the last humans from the end of time came back and slaughtered and
enslaved their ancestors under the master's rule... why couldn't it's utter destruction tear through
space/time creating a crack linking different places and times, like in venice, or obliterating
anything it comes in contact with?
