"Legend of the Seeker" cancelled

aww wow, this is going to ruin my day

unfortunately, i think the show deserved this. they made a real hack-job of a decent series (the
first few books anyway), and in a day and age where all the best shows are taking on a multi-episode
narrative format, this was a throwback to the old days of interrupted, episodic storylines.

it seems to me like sam raimi just pumped terry goodkind's work for cash and remade hercules under a
different guise. shame because it could have been better.

meh. not suprised. it had a horrible timeslot.

i just watched it for the confessor and the mordsith, both were smokin hot, hoping they would get
into a cat fight that turns sexual. sadly now this may never happen. damn you tv!!!

i am not surprised. the recent storyline has gotten way out of hand. sister nikki who took richard's
han should have died once and be done with it. of course i saw the warning signs...when you kill off
a major character like denna, don't expect any one to watch the show. denna and cara....wow....that
would have been a killer combo. when you add zedd's idiot brother then all bets are off. the show
must die. but at least it was a quick death. damn, i'm going to miss cara in that cute skintight
leather outfit. yum!

come on, we only watched it because there was nothing else on at the weekend.

the show was freaking awesome wtf man 100x better then that gay ass hercules from the 90's and a 2x
better then xena wtf man. im getting tired of this shit first jake 2.0 then true calling then
daybreak then journeyman and countless others man wtf and all the while lame ass shows go on forever,
survivor wtf man for real? thank god supernatural got at least 1 more season or i'd be breaking shit
right now.

and the show was getting better over time guys they just liked stacking mediocre episodes before the
awesome ones which is fine with me alto of shows good shows do that, heroes does it a lot too.

people complain about movies and tv shows not matching the books or comics , who the heck cares i
actually prefer if they don't then u get 2 for one, you got the book then you got a different thing
based on the books that just not quite the same it's awesome to me.

totally agree about the other shows they cancelled. glad supernatural is still alive and kicking, although
tbh i think the writers expected it to get cancelled so planned for a big finale, not sure how they'll get it
into another season smoothly story-wise but hey, at least it's going to be there for another season.

as for lots, a few of my friends watch it but it's not the sort of thing i'm into. i prefer either futuristic
sci-fi or totally new ideas like tru calling, caprica & supernatural. i'm not a big fan of swords and bows
& arrows.

however, once again a show is cut short because the ratings weren't high enough, the fan base is
restricted from seeing the show to a fitting final ending and instead gets nothing by means of a reward
for loyalty to the show. i guess that's life, it's the casual audience that doesn't like to think about what
they're watching or have to remember what happened in previous episodes and it'll follow sci-fi shows
forever. generally speaking, sci-fi in the uk can stay around for a while if it's received well enough (dr
who has been running since the 60's, with a 12 year break before the most recent few series i might
add :d), but in the states it seems as though shows can be cut at will without the need for a written
ending. i've seen it happen a few times to some great shows. can't stand the way sci-fi fans are
treated.

i guess the crime/forensic dramas are where the money's at, it's why we'll probably see a whole host of
new crime drames pop up over the course of the next few years and they'll each last at least 3 or 4
seasons whether they're crap or not...

i've read the whole series of books and the tv series doesn't follow time line at all.
but saying that, i love the series for what it is- action sci-fi ; and in the uk this would carry on
for a few more series. i hope abc manage to find a buyer and we can all enjoy the escapism again.
