Azureus or Zudeo

i usually use azureus for downloading torrents. recently, azureus was used in
zudeo, which is also used for torrents. they are based on the same thing, so
very similar, but i was wondering which one is better, and what the main
differences are. anyone know?

what is zideo? some mac torrent program or something.

zudeo is basically a retooling of azureus that the creators of azureus are using
for their internet content distribution business project. if you google
"azureus" and "bbc" you can read all about it.

if you are going to be downloading files via torrents found on sites like these,
just stick with normal azureus.

from the program you can download a whole bunch of hd video and stuff (no tv or
movies though...). it uses bittorrent, specifically azureus, to download all the
stuff. so when i opened it up, it already had my downloads, ratio, settings,
etc., because it was built around the same thing. you can go to advanced view,
which looked almost identical to azureus. however, i would assume there was at
least some differences besides the catalog of hd video. plus, the newest version
of azureus is 2.5, but zudeo says it is "powered by azureus 3.0" (however, the
whole thing is still ob beta - maybe azureus 3.0 is a beta).

i cant realy do it justice. its like a web page but its not a web browser. its
a media browser. its looking more like a rip off of a windows media pc set up
but is well below apples front row app , but instead of downloading instantly on
demand for instant play, to the computers memory it downloads via bit torrent to
harddisk for storage. yes hidden under the graphics is the complete azureus 3 app
with every thing that azureus 2.5 had and more.

do you know where i can get just plain old azureus 3? or is zudeo the only
version? i couldn't find past 2.5.

the only version of azureus 3 is in zudeo, and if anyone can tell me anything
remotely useful that is in 3 that isn't in 2.5.0.1, then i'll eat my foot.

options i find more use full, is the different number of connections for when
only seeding a torrent and not downloading it. (hit and runners wont need this)
a drop down menu to stop/start all torrents, (little frog sitting next to the
display option on my system), with out even switching to the app.

there's an 'advanced' option, to view the ordinary gui in zudeo/azureus

yeah, since they looked so similar i was wondering if there was actually much of
a difference besides all that zudeo crap. like cpu usage, extra features, etc.

there's probably not much difference in terms of it's function, just that
they've added a more "user friendly" face to to it. personally, i think it's
maybe a little too dumbed down, kind-of like the way windows has been going for
about a decade now, falling over the edge with 'vista'.

but cpu/memory usage, i wouldn't know, but i would hazard a guess that all those
images and extra transfer-rates don't do much help to your processor if it's not
so good as it is.

until they start releasing tv for free, as it airs, i think i'll stick to eztv
and utorrent. practically unbeatable.

microsoft is rebuilding the window, with new blinds to keep bad people out and
making it accessible to both dumb and smart people.

i never realy have azureus running as a front line app, its in the background
and it windows are hidden. its dropped from running at 10% cpu version 2.5 to 6%
and lower, cpu use in version 3 running 8 active torrents
