i believe that the issue is not his principles, but how he acted on them. it's fine not to "kiss" another woman but to tell the
shows producers at the very last minute "uh dude...i'm not gonna do it...i'm not gonna do it anymore". i always wondered
why he played scumbags or tough guys and never the kind hearted leading man. now i know why. leading men usually fall
in love and end up kissing a woman while scumbags rarely get the girl....they just kill them. i liked him in minority report
and medical investigation.
yet, he cam portray killing people in a series like "band of brothers"? don't get me wrong he was great in
that, and i am sure his acting ability shines in other shows as well, but to basically condone murder while
saying that the natural human body and act of reproduction crosses the line is ridiculous. then again most
religion has always been ass-backwards, and it shows in many of their followers.
i don't think it has anything to do with him condoning murder. if it's really his beliefs then it probably has
something to do with him being uncomfortable kissing another woman while he's married. it's the only
possibility that makes sense to me. however, i don't know if he's ever made out with another woman in
film or television since he's been married.
there may be another reason though. doesn't make sense he'd accept a job that had him performing acts
he was uncomfortable with when he knew about them before hand. maybe he thought they wouldn't fire
him because it would be too late because they already started filming and would have to change the script.
either way, he's either lying or an asshole. maybe both.
i think it goes to show that if any of the post-judaism monotheistic religions ever gains control of
the u.s.a., television programming will start to stink in a big way.
its the liberal attitudes (or, given the recent rnc's wild spending in bondage-themed lesbian strip
clubs, possibly conservative attitudes as well) of modern television which keep it fresh and
exciting. religion and good television just don't mix well together, certainly not in the u.s.a.
("little mosque on the prairie" being a canadian show).
yeah i guess condoning was the wrong word to use there. but still i'm sure you see my point. although if it
is on the grounds that he refuses to kiss another woman besides his wife, he seems to have made the
wrong career choice. either that or he must expect to severely limit the roles he can play.
