aww, wtf. this is a great show with so much potential. i hope they are renewed for a second season, but
with this news it doesn\'t seem likely. the masses wouldn\'t know a good show if it hit them in the face.
while asinine, unoriginal and uninspired reality tv trash continues to thrive. a testament to the mentality of
the average american viewer. pathetic.

i thought the 2 hour episode was really boring, but the episodes after got better. i really don't
know how they'd continue the show for multiple seasons unless they keep having blackout after blackout.

you know why the show gets bad ratings?

"because i was loaded, okay?!"
"because i was loaded, okay?!"

well when there are rumours around that a show will be cancelled why would you want to watch it.
there will be no way they can complete a story line in one season and if they don't have a second
season why would you want to watch it if there is no conclusion? they have to stop the rumour mill
and say yes or no to a next season then and only then will they get viewers back again.

abc owns the failure of this show, which i like and watch, and which i think has picked up of late.
had it not stopped showing new episodes and placed the show on hiatus it might have built a
following, rather than attract only hardcore fans.

well, they air the damn thing against bones and survivor. two of the biggest hits on tv. what the
hell do they expect?

agh! i hate it when this happens. you jump ship, no-one has faith, show gets cancelled. who knows,
maybe they're going to be rediculously ballsy and kill the 3 who 'jumped ship' off?

hell, the ending to episode 13 was just a fucking mind fuck! i mean, they've hinted at time travel
before but that is just a damn smack in the face. the hiatus killed this show, as did the ship
jumpers (including showrunners and producers!) and people with neilson boxes who decided not to
watch. grr. stupid system. it's as back-asswards as the charts used to be!

"how many 'birdie song' records did you sell?" "no idea, 8 million?" "it's a hit!"

this show sucks. the whole premise is absurd and for those who think this is a great show must also hate alias but love lost
although alias and lost are essentially the same show. it seems that ever since the writers went on strike their ability to
write good stories has not come back. how else to explain the fact some of the main characters already know what
happened during the last blackout, but won't tell anyone else. this premise is similar to the writing of stargate universe. in
other words...they are making stuff up as they go. lol....this is the reason why 24 finally got killed of. people are sick and
tired of watching the same gimmick being used over and over again while the producers try to make the viewers think that it
is something new and exciting. guys, don't be surprised when v gets killed off. the writing on that other abc show sucks
even more. how else to explain the over abundance of good looking people on the show. that show has no substance so it is
trying to make up for it with glitz and glamour.

i think the decision by the studios to have a huge break in the middle of the season is to blame. it
hadn't been around long enough to gain dedicated loyal viewers and it was too complex to break
mid-season. so it is their own fault!

and, of course, the rumours of it being axed (and cast members abandoning ship) didn't help.

i just hope they do the right thing and finish the season off with closure.

articles like this, and the last one a few days back, really just piss me the hell off.

first off, if you don't like a show, don't friggin' watch it, and most definitely don't start writing fire-in-the-theater articles
that clearly show your bias. "stars jumping ship?" where? from what the article actually said, it was two nobodies that
hardly get any screen time anyway, and a kid that could be replaced without anyone noticing the change. and even then
one of the actors said she'd come back if the show was picked up. but no, ya do an article like that, and suddenly
"jumping ship" is the buzzword, and everyone believes it.

secondly, abc's idiotic idea to put the show on hiatus for a few months was tantamount to putting a bullet in its head.
you don't do that unless you're prepared to re-air the earlier eps for people to catch up and re-familiarize themselves
with the show, and if you're intent on giving the show time to re-build its core audience. we're not talking about sea
monkeys, here. you can't just air something and cancel it if it doesn't miraculously hatch a strong audience in 72 hours.

and yeah, the show isn't as good as it could be. they wanted a new lost, and didn't get it. the writing could be better,
but hey, maybe it will get there, if left alone long enough. i like to think of it this way. lost started out strong, and then
turned into a steaming pile of crap cranked out by two guys who think it's funny to string everyone along on the premise
that the show's a complicated mystery, only to reveal that they themselves haven't got a clue what's gonna happen
farther than three eps out. well, maybe, just maybe, flashforward could be like lost in reverse, and go from lukewarm
to smokin' hot. it's certainly possible, if they're given the chance.

abc has an uncanny talent of making sure their shows die, it was like this with defying gravity as well.

also, i fully agree with op.

"alias and lost are essentially the same show." you are immediately disqualified.
