i am a big fan of robert knepper's crazy characters on heroes and prison break but this bodes bad
meaning for sgu. whenever knepper played a larger role in each of the aforementioned series the show is
usually on it's last legs and are trying to pull out all the stops and go all ballistic or crazy bad in an attempt
to regain its audience of to grow it. simply put, stargate atlantis should not have ended after only 5 years.
if stargate lasted for 10 seasons with outdated writing and technology i am certain that stargate atlantis
could at least matched the 10 years with much better writing and better tech. killing stargate atlantis was
the fault of the greedy producers who felt constrained by their lack of forethought in regards to
merchandising rights to stargate atlantis. so to rectify their incompetence they started a new show with
better forethought on merchandising rights. their excuse for killing stargate atlantis was high expenses
due to high salaries of recurring actors and the increased use of fancy tech to drive their story lines.
actually, the expenses of the "character" actors and the tech is about the same. what you probably do not
know is that producers make about 5 times as much money now on the new show. anyway, getting back to
knepper. whenever he shows up on a show or takes a larger part you know the show is doomed. stargate
universe will not make it past the first season. stargate repeats draw a larger audience than new episodes
of stargate universe. sci fi should never have changed their name. now every time i see syfy i think of
the syufy movie chain.....lol. how original! all they did was drop the "u". syufy should sue them for all they
are worth. speaking of worth....when are they going to bring ashley back on sanctuary?
