hi all,

i watch a lot of shows of various types, late at night when the family have
gone to bed but,at the moment i've run out of stuff to watch and i'd love if
you folks could recommend some new stuff for me to check out.

to give you some idea of the type of stuff i like,in recient months i've gone
through,

24 seasons 2 - 5
smallville season 4 - current
surface
invasion
lost - all to date
deadwood seasons 1 & 2
kyle xy
supernatral - all to date
medium 1 - all to date
carnivale seasons 1 - 2
prison break - all to date
heroes - all to date
jericho - all to date
torchwood - all to date
masters of horror - all to date
dexter - all to date

that's all i can think of at the moment but there's probably more !

i also had a go at vanished, kidnapped and battlestar galactica but found that
i couldnt really get in to them.

being in ireland,i suspect i am ignorant to a lot of shows that air in the us,
(some of the shows i've listed haven't been aired here and probably never will)
so if anyone can suggest some good stuff to download i'd be very greatful.

thanks in advance.

i can second that. both are very good shows, not quite like the other shows you
watch, but worth a look.

double ditto to house'

deadwood is the 'ole american west , and has a surprisingly strong following;
must see tv

something new but popular, and i have to admit i just heard about it, is dexter,
who is a serial killer of serial killers, lol. since i just saw the first
episode the other night, i can't explain it more than that for now. but all the
cool kids are watching it, so if you have to converse with any of us yankees

1) house
2) deadwood

i will admit 24 and lost are huge here in the states, though i've never seen them

numb3rs, justice, shark and without a trace and weeds are all good.
i also enjoyed lighter stuff like three moons over milford (cancelled), til
death, the class, twenty good years, ugly betty, brothers and sisters and men
in trees.

if you want something different try mythbusters.

older but still available if you are patient are the x-files and mash.
if you are into sci-fi there always are the stargates programs.

i am actually now into programs from the uk like:
blackadder, jeeves & wooster, father ted, the vicar of dibley, torchwood,
doctor who, robin hood, maid marian and her merry men, mr. bean, fawlty
towers, monty python, a touch of frost, bbc sherlock holmes (with jeremy
brent), red dwarf, respectable (very, very funny)and porridge.

not from uk but still not north american
farscape
too twisted

time dope dealer and total dirt bag ! great stuff !

woodfordslim - i'm with you on the surface thing,i used to love watching it
with my kids, what a way to end the season !! no closure at all !

joe88 - the lost room is great stuff all right,i haven't seen the third part
