cancelled? fox originally only ordered 10 episodes and then on oct 6 three more
episodes were ordered, making a 13 episode run which are all going to be aired
from what i've seen from fox and futon critic. there was talk about it being
cancelled when it changed the day it was broadcast, but nothing since then afaik.

well perhaps not 'cancelled' in the sense of pulling the series off the air and
never showing it again. but it does seem clear that the show will play out its
13 episode order and then disappear. while fox haven't released a specific
press release stating so, it's fairly clear considering:
1) the show was pulled from its monday timeslot during sweeps and replaced with
house reruns, without a firm return date.
2) when given a new timeslot, that timeslot was the same slot that vanished, a
dying show, had previously been moved to.
3) having now aired 11 of its 13 episode run, there is still no sign of an order
for new episodes or a second season. while it is true that shows can have a 13
episode first season and be renewed (numb3rs springs to mind), that is usually
only for mid-season replacements.
sadly for those who enjoy it, even without a hard announcement from fox, the
facts do scream quite loudly that the 13 episodes of season 1 will be the only
13 episodes made.

there's a considerable difference between being cancelled and not being
renewed.... but 'cancelled' is definitely wrong and there's nothing official on
renewal (when the ratings are borderline they may wait until overseas and/or dvd
returns are known)
