RVMB File

hey all,

i have downloaded some files which has rvmb on it and would like to know if
anyone out thre knows of a prog tht can decode it bk to avi? if possible can u
provide the site for me and i will look it up frm thre.. thanks so much for uer
kind assistance..

it'll take time. if you are not really good with converting formats, then i so
wouldn't bother.

if you really want to spend that effort, then put rmvb into wikipedia and it
should come up with a page showing you how to convert.

i think winavi video converter can do real media to avi.

do you mean rmvb(real media variable bitrate).
if so win avi has converted this type of file for me before.
but it took hours for a 2hr (400meg) rmvb film to be re-encoded to avi.

have a look on mini nova for win avi. hopefully you will find 1 on their for
you that will last for more than a few weeks or so.

knolageable about this type of file.

yeap... tht is the file.. i was lookin for some eps frm las vegas s2 and i
downloaded this files and it turned out to be rmvb files. sigh... unless someone
can show me the way to get s2 las vegas in avi format....

where can i locate this win avi converter? mininova? thanks for replying bk guys..

why not just download realplayer that can play those kind of files perfectly.

if you want the (winavi v7.7) then i found a good 1 on mininova.org.
just get mininova up and in the search type in (winavi) no spaces.
i found a load of winavi's for you to pick from.
the 1 i looked at for you had a lot of seeds (209), so you should get it quick.
i then looked at the (12) comments it had, and all seems to be well with this
torrent.

(don't forget to reed the comments in the winavi torrent on mininova).

that will tell you how someone named (757) managed to install the program.
but if you still have problems with that install of winavi.
drop a note in here and someone might know how to help you.

best thing is to try and not download that type of file until you know a little
more about that type of file format.
i know it's a pain when the tv show you want is in a format you can't seem to
play.
we all come across them from time to time it's just a learning curve for us all.

uuuuhh.... i wouldnt download relplayer, it reeks of adware/spyware! instead
download
the klite codec pack which will come with media player classic as well as codecs
for rmvb playback.
but yea as noes said, why not just watch it without converting, unless ofcourse
your planning to watch it off a conventional dvd player or something, and until
now i havent heard of a player which decodes rmvb.

just download a rm coverter(lot's of it are available)........convert & watch
the file...........

i didnt know realplayer reeked of adware/spyware but then again i got pretty
good security against those so that might be why i havent had trouble with
that. but had i known i wouldnt have recommended it sorry for that. thanks for
the tip i wont recommend realplayer in future.
