don't forget, simon cowell holds the rights to the show as its creator, so even if he doesn't appear in it

i know people hate simon cowell and whatever, but without him, there is no show. he is what makes the
show interesting, because unlike the other judges, he actually tells the truth about the performance.

you're getting your simons mixed up. simon fuller owns american idol.
hence why cowell wants to break loose and run his own show in the us once his contract is up.
