house has pretty good ratings, don't see it dying anytime soon.
chuck did have 13 episodes ordered as they did some cuts to at least save the show for another season.
then after that they ordered 6 additional shows and moved up the date to fit in the newly ordered shows.
because of this, i'll be watching chuck on sunday and monday and will watch house afterwords too
keep chuck alive for another season and more seasons too come.
not that i watch house or anything, but has no one at the networks realized that many people in the
21st century have access to video on demand, various recording devices, and access to internet
downloads? so what if they are airing the programs opposite each other, if i am so inclined i will
watch one, both, or any number of the shows in an order suited to my tastes, the networks be damned.

yes but i believe the neilsen ratings people don't appreciate such subtleties, and those ratings influence
advertsing rates. so this is aimed at hitting nbc's revenues, which potentially affects shows like chuck.
i really don't see how this is a 'network fight'. mondays at 8 is house's current timeslot. fox
isn't picking a fight with nbc any more than they're picking a fight with cbs, whose comedies are
also returning that night.
i'm thrilled that they're following house with an episode of fringe, though. fringe did pretty well
last year with the house lead-in, but it has been struggling in the ratings this year due to its
move to the competitive thursday night timeslot. if it can pull in some good numbers on january 11,
it may be enough to convince fox to give them a third season.
i like chuck much better then house m.d. ...and also fringe is good...heroes sucks that is too
booring for me!.....have happy hollydays to all the people in this world ....from romania this is
dj_dex500 aka(george) thank you eztv for all this great shows!!!!!
the whole point of moving the in the time slot is because many people would have to make a choice to
watch which one.
if someone watches house = ratings
if someone watches chuck = ratings
less ratings between the shows depends on the future of the show and hence why one of the reasons
the shows gets canceled.
if they counted 'torrent' downloads then we wouldn't have to worry about it and most of the shows
wouldn't be canceled based on ratings particularity budget cuts.
it's not so much about torrents as dvrs. most dvrs today have two or more tuners, making it easy to
not watch either show at 8pm and instead save the shows for a later time and/or date. i hardly ever
watch a show when it airs and that's where the trend is headed. i mean, even without dvrs there is
still hulu where you can watch a show the day after. if advertisers really want a clear picture on
which shows to spend their money on, they need to nix the current nielsen ratings system and go with
one that takes dvr and internet viewing into consideration.
