not really. a lot of players are fussy about the disks put into them (it seems
to be getting more and more frequent - odd)
i think it comes down to this - if you have time and patience, then convert

nero can create the dvd for you using an avi file. just choose the create a dvd
option then choose the file or files you want on the disc. you can put several
episodes on one disc. it converts them to dvd files for you then burns them.
you can even create custom menus and covers with nero. it works great for me.

i agree with all the nero users. i also use nerovision express. it is very user
friendly for the inexperienced and only takes about an hour to burn a 350mb avi
file to blank dvd. if your using 4.7gb blanks you should get 3 episodes on one
dvd. when you have already spent hours downloading there is no point in wasting
more time converting the avi files to other formats as the avi files will play
on just about any old dvd player including ps2 & xbox.

everyone should have nero anyway... even if you personally prefer to use some
other program specifically for xvid-to-dvd transcoding, you should still have
nero for all the other millions of disc burning needs that it meets..
i would also suggest not making custom menus and such when you burn a
dvd... some players have trouble with certain menu authoring... choosing the
option to not use any menus at all, will make your disc more reliably play in
variety of player brands and models..
