it was fun but now it feels like a chore to watch the episodes so it was a nice trip but i too have
left heroes\' boat.

interestingly, i feel the exact opposite.

the chore was sitting through seasons two and three. season four so far, has been a huge step up over
the last couple of seasons. still not quite as good as season one, but a helluva lot better than the dire
mess that the show turned into during seasons two and (especially) three.

with the current season, i'm enjoying heroes again, for the first in years. yes the story arcs are slower
paced and more methodical than in previous seasons, but then half the reason the entire show fell apart
during seasons two and three, was exactly because of how they were writing the whole thing from the
hip and making it up as it went along. it was a much faster paced program then, but it was also some of
the worst crap on tv.

i'd much rather they continue doing what they have been doing so far this season (slowing down the
pace, laying out a good story that requires some investment by the audience in the early half of the
season, yet pays off in big dividends during the second half of the season leading up the the finale),
than continue to do what they were doing during seasons two and three. in a lot of ways, season four of
heroes is a lot like babylon 5, in that the first couple of seasons seemed negligible upon first viewing,
but the by seasons three and four, paid off in spades for having watched them. from what i have seen
of heroes so far this season, i can easily where the latter half of the season is going to be huge, but
only if the audience has to put in the investment by watching the first half of the season.

anyway, my $0.02.

tbh, im amazed it isn't cancelled yet. i remember season 1 getting 20 million easy; things change
don't they?

how am i suppose to get an accurate review of this season. it seems some people like it and it's slow, then
other people hate it and it's just more of the same.

i'm wondering whether this season will be worth watching, but i don't want to get sucked in watching it and
then be disappointed and feel like i wasted my time like with the past couple seasons. they just really
screwed this series up. it has so much potential, but they've ruined it in the past couple seasons.

for me started as a great series, but as slowly got very boring.ever since they took all peters powers away
except one he gets every episode there's realy no nead for his character to be there, same as hiro he is
doing nothing so far, cant see this show lasting much longer.

ultimately, heroes was a good idea but they played out all of the creativity in the first season.
we've now degenerated into "hey, my super-power is playing the cello." seriously, what nonsense.
this show was watched to see people with powers fight it out in the street. does anyone still have
their powers? peter's are gone, hiro's are killing him, parkman won't use his, sylar's a
disembodied spirit and they're all moping about their feelings. nobody cares about a bunch of
powerless misfits being whiny. the creative team behind this show has absolutely no scope of their
audience. this should be the final season; the numbers will continue to drop every episode.

well that's it then. all over.
heroes has slumped to a pitiful 5 odd million!!!! viewers. guess they'd better pull the plug.

*sarcasm over*

er.......... excuse me???

5 million!!!!!!!

that's no drop in the ocean ya know.

however, be grateful that it's still showing because they'll only smack another
singing/dancing/talent program in it's place to please the old folk who make up most of the viewing
figures.

first of all i have to write that i just love this show.
i have to agree that season 3 (especially 'volume four') wasn't too good, but still i've enjoyed it.
for me personally the greatest mistake of 'heroes series creative team' was killing arthur petrelli.
he was the villan and he - as character - had a huge potential - he took all peters powers and
started to build something very interesting. and all his work / his idea was simply ended in
nonsensical way by sylar (haitian/rene was blocking arthurs powers, but was not blocking sylars
powers...............besides after rene leaves, arthur should heal him self up [same as peter did
many times].....wouldn't he?). since arthurs death i am a bit frustrated. robert foster made a great
impression on me as arthur petrelli. his character was one of my favourite.
now the fourth season continues and i deeply hope that this season will be something. if not, this
is truly end of this saga........

i have to write that 5 millions people it's pretty good audience. i know that nbc expectations are
much higher, but be aware, that 5 millions dedicated viewers are incomparable even with 20 millions
viewers whom just 'passing by' their series. please remember that.

besides 5 millions is an official number of viewers. belive me - there are much more ppl watching
this show all over the world that you can imagine. and it's all thanks to eztv 🙂
