Hello,
Not really a request or complaint, MeGusta does excellent work, truly, but with some regular downloads, some episodes can be missed like this or with other programming. Normally, I can find an alternative uploader which is part of the community, but in the case of 1080p Homestead Rescue episodes, especially Season 14, I can only find 6 GB plus-sized 1080p episodes if MeGusta does not create any for that episode.
This happened with episodes S14E03, S14E04, and S14E05, but 8 hours ago, a Megusta S14E05 was available, I am so thankful. Main reason is that in Europe, Season 14 episodes are only on Discovery+ and rarely advertised.
I do not know if MeGusta can be contacted, normally I can find similar uploads slightly bigger when they miss an episode. I even tried to replicate the converting settings similar to MeGusta's with bad results and I think my PC cannot handle much converting anymore, especially HEVC & AV1.
I do not watch Homestead Rescue, do not like it at all like most reality, but I get the new episodes for an elderly friend so my opinion does not matter. The Homestead Rescue episodes on Discovery-owned channels or related in Europe are, I think, advertised as "new" episodes but are about 4 or 5 seasons behind the US, I am not sure. Also, they are repeated to heck every day, my elderly friend knows the free broadcasted ones back to front, nothing is new to them.
I feel sorry for them because there are a few shows they like from the US, for example, Alaska: The Last Frontier, who knows when Season 12 will come when Season 11 was released in 2022, which just got over here in the last year, I think. Also advertised as "new" episodes. Most daytime TV is dreadful and not much better at night.
With most Discovery shows, I cannot find out which ones are regularly broadcast over here because, weirdly, Discovery broadcasts new seasons seemingly out of the blue without adverts on so many shows, then they mostly disappear, it's so weird. Rarely numbered episodes too, unless it was made in Europe, including Britain and I cannot find it on any TV schedule or guide on any website.
Going back to the 6 GB plus episodes, the issue is because the elderly friend's TV accepts USB flash drives but they have to be 32GB in size and formatted to FAT32, as you know there are issues with this mainly with the 4 GB file transfer file limit with FAT32. Also, my friend will not get an external hard drive, which has to be mains powered because it is a waste of money and might not work at all with the TV because FAT32 is designed for 32GB sized storage, no other file systems work with the TV, exFAT would be dream.
So I am stuck, at least Homestead Rescue episodes do not really link up in ongoing events in the show over multiple episodes, sometimes.
Still annoying that there are uploaders not reducing the size down for downloads and wonder why they are not popular then quit it all. I wish I could help but the funds and my surroundings are not there for me to do so.
Not complaining, as I said I find alternatives, even can accommodate the 6 GB plus downloads and seed for a little while, but truly my elderly friend can not, they are not a PC gaming granny/grandpa.
