this was actually surprisingly good. had no idea what it was when i sat down to watch, so at first i thought
it was another stupid show about self-absorbed, adolescent crims. almost even turned it off and deleted the
file, were it not for the couple of semi-sexy vixens in the bunch (antonia thomas is so freakin' hot, and
lauren socha ain't half bad either) - figured that for some more hot cleavage shots, which there already
seemed to be an abundance of in the first few minutes, it was worth watching the rest of the episode.
imagine my surprise five minutes into the episode, when the hail storm from hell starts up, and sends the
story spiraling in a completely unexpected direction. still while not the best program out there (judging
purely by the first episode), it was still good in the end, and certainly presents a lot of potential to be a
truly great series if it is handled correctly. i feel about the same way for misfits as i felt for being human,
after watching the first episode. and being human went on to being one of my favorite programs ever. so
there is hope that something awesome will come out of misfits. if the fantastic four (the comic, not the
crappy films) were british juvenile delinquents, then they would likely take the form of this program.
this show wasn't too bad. a few niggles but mostly pretty good.
slightly off-topic: why would you watch a show just because it had cleavage in it?
this may sound immature, but i figure that at least twice a year a guy should be allowed to sound
immature, and not get skewered for it . . .
. . . so it came down to either spending 45 minutes watching misfits, or spending at least 45 minutes doing
something productive . . . like cleaning out the gutters on my house. i have to admit, watching the first 3
minutes or so of misfits, i was tempted to just go clean out the gutters. however, misfits having female
cleavage and the gutters having no female parts other than where the 'female' end of pipe "a" fits over the
'male' end of pipe "b" (so on and so forth), turned out pretty much to be the deciding factor in what to
spend the next hour doing. as truthfully, outside of the inclusion of mammaries early on, the show had little
else going for it until the wrinkle they threw into the plot a few minutes later. fortunately by minute five,
misfits suddenly got a lot more interesting and had a lot more going for it than just mere boobage, after
which, staying to see the rest was a no-brainer.
still given the choice, i'd easily choose to watch female boobage over cleaning the gutters, any given day
of the week when there was absolutely nothing else but one of the two to do.
relax kiddies. chances are some us company will probably remake this as they do with many other uk
series. in doing so they will add more cleavage, fx, violence and sex at which point the series may
take off.
is it just me, or does anybody else from ouside the uk, i'm from canada, find uk programming odd to
watch at times. i try and have an open mind, i don't know if it is the language/accent, mannerisms,
the style or just the fact that we have been over exposed to us programming. i loved torchwood and
it crowd, but on the other hand did not get into life on mars until it was usafied (my word, patent
pending)
on a side note...i actually quite enjoyed the misfits pilot and am upset it had such low opening
numbers and will probably be pulled.

well if you are not really satisfied with uk shows, you have to watch "how to not live your life", best brit
sitcom i've seen in a while!

the article was very misleading as 400,000 for e4 is actually fantastic
