brilliant lot of information here about this excellent but doomed show. thanks to the uploader for sourcing the material.

i don\'t see how the show could possibly be revived in any form, now that the actors have been released from their
contracts, the sets destroyed, and their fan base effectively scattered and disregarded, but perhaps parriott will consider
taking a leaf out of joss whedon\'s book (and many others i\'m sure) by continuing the story in comic book / graphic novel
form? no budget to speak of, no creative restrictions, and no restrictive timeline for episodes to come out weekly, etc.

it\'s worth it - many buffy fans who\'d never have picked up a comic book in their life changed their tune entirely when
buffy season 8 was launched as official canon. and i daresay that most defying gravity fans would already be happy to
pick up a comic book anyway, so they may not even need as much convincing.

i thoroughly enjoyed the show and would also have liked further details about the death toll ... was pariott planning on
killing off any of the crew over the course of the mission? i\'m guessing not because the whole premise was that beta had
selected them for a specific purpose, but what if any of the actors had wanted to pursue another avenue of their
professional lives during the course of the (presumably six or more years of the) show - or, heaven forbid, had suffered
extreme injury or even died? i\'d be interested to know how he\'d have factored that into a show where we\'re told from the
beginning that at least each of the members on board antares was chosen because they served a greater purpose. how
does one cover up any necessary cast changes without \'jumping the shark\' when such a bold claim has been made at the
outset?

it\'s all very interesting and was a brilliant concept well executed (no matter what the show\'s detractors say), so it will be
sorely missed. this information is good salve for the scars it leaves in its wake, though.

thank you for this man.
i already miss that show ; it was the best new show of the year, by far... a great, modern, original
sci-fi show with a fantastic cast and an even more fantastic storyline.

i really hope someone will resurrect the show some day. it's not too late people, let's take this
thing to facebook and shit, let's act to get it on the air again. remember what happened with
jericho a few years back... we can do it. search "bring back defying gravity" and/or "protest the
cancelation of defying gravity" on facebook, and join, then share it to the world !

once again, great to have some bits of information from james, thank you for this. better than
nothing i guess, but still, what a terrible frustration.

glad they cancelled it after reading that. pathetic plot lines. 'hermaphrodite'?, 'never going to
reveal what the fractal objects were'?, 'kill the bunny'? .. all vomit inducing stuff.

no problem guys with the posting, i was just as pissed as you guys about it getting axed but at
least we have some idea of where the show was going. it it just pisses me off that they had an
opportunity to sell it to scifi where it would have been brilliant but instead sold in to abc who
completely miss managed it. oh well shit happens.

thank-you for this man! and thanks to mr. parriott for letting us in on this.

i don't suppose you can find out what was going to happen on the sarah connor chronicles could
you? 😉

damned canceled series.

i think one reason this wasn't really a success is that it wasn't sci-fi ey enough for scifi fans, and it was
too scifi for non-scifi fans. :s

grey's in space is not sci-fi. just because you have a scifish setting does not make a show scifi.
lost is above and beyond more scifi than this or virtuality. calling those scifi is like saying
leprechaun 4 was scifi.

after reading this i feel justified in my abandonment of this show after 3 episodes, which by then
it had already jumped the shark. we live in a day and age where shows, even if not scifi, must
listen to/have their science advisers. there is good campy scifi, eureka, and good drama scifi, bsg
& t: scc, all of which have competent science advisers and writers that listen to them.

people who like this garbage and equate it to the amazingness that was terminator: scc make me wonder
if we are even part of the same species. terminator wasn't even given half the chance this pos was...
