yup i agree. as i stated in a post in a different are. it's a failure.
another bsg/sgu style failure
bsg from the 70's was great then they released the '05 series and was a step backwards.
sg1/atlantis were also great then they released thsi mess they call sgu
now they have done it with an absolute classic show.
if they thought well we can do it better cause we have better special effects abilities now than
they had back then, then they failed at that because
1/ why now do the transport ships (the little one that landed on the helipad) are they using jet
engines and yet back in the 80's they were... for use of proper terminology .... anti-gravity engines.
2/ millions of people are standing in the streets after seeing an alien space craft hovering over
them they all start clapping. rubbish, humans would not respond in that manner.
3/ how many days did they fit into 40 minutes. at least 2 week with no indication of elapsed time.
the only indication was all of a sudden there are stalls selling items about the visitors
4/ they have changed the meaning of v. v, if anyone remembers, stood for victory and was started by
a bunch of kids spray painting a poster with a red v, when an elderly jewish gentleman came along
and spoke to them done the v and said it stands for victory. now it stands for visitors and was
started by the visitors and symbolizes friendship and more. wtf.... no
5/ in the original no one know really why they were here until late in the show it was revealed they
were after the water. now they announce they want the water up front. which now leads to 6
6/ the visitors have been here on the planet for years working in places like the fbi.... how did he
get a job at the fbi. how did he get through the medicals and not get found out.... bogus.
all they have done is tried to blend an old show with a new cop show imo. sorry but this should be
called a re-interpretation of the original not a remake imo. just watching this was making me angry
for what they have to the popularity, fan base, reputation and notoriety what the original v so
deservedly receives to this day. it's an insult to the true fans of the original v, just like the
new bsg and sgu. oh yeah the new motherships look like they have been thrown together with scrap
metal and the design is based on a child's failed attempt at a pottery ashtray from school.
come on folks at tv lets come up with something original, something new and fresh not two or more
shows thrown together and say it's great.

man you guys are too uptight.
this version of v had to be different from the original, in a big enough way that they didnt have to
pay licenses and royalties to the original authors. if you would have done your homework you would
know that (google it up).
criticizing this show because of a few bloopers at premiere is nonsense also. all other premieres
have to premiere 2 episodes 1 after the other for the show to make any sense.
i think they did a wonderfull job with the time alloted.
secondly as youve seen their technology is not that faaaar advanced from ours as you might have
thought/wanted (she uses a remote at holographic tv table). shuttles use anti-gravity only canceling
some of the crafts weight, thus they dont need any wings etc, but still need jets to propel. things
like that.
judging by what ive seen theyre about 50-100 years more advanced than we are now, soo no biggie.
if you wanted a pure scientiffic glory alien show it wouldnt be fun and would make no sense.
as if advanced aliens (the ones youre suggesting) would need anything from us puny humans and for
that matter need earths resources (yea like as if lol). earth has very limited resources. all you
have to do is stroll down to asteroid belt and you have all your heart desires at your fingertips
(which im sure real aliens would do). no need for large schemes and the need to infiltrate us from
within whatsoever. we would be nothing more than an amusement for study and maybe entertainment.
if you do a little thinking instead of whining from the start you might,.... maybe, just maybe
enjoy the show.

yes anti gravity is allready in research labs and military applications. too bad general public is
out of the loop.

research labs and military applications? lol ppl you really are a bit behind times- theres simple
classroom experiments that can show basic anti gravity- hell it was even shown on tv in a episode of
numbers - get with the times folks 🙂

yeah, get with the times! for instance, tonight i'm taking my old chevy for a fly under the stars.
last time i took it to the garage, my mechanic said 'hey, wanna throw an anti gravity kit in the mix

personally, i thought is was great,some people need to learn how to not be so critical and enjoy
things for what they are....
morena looked amazing in character, i didnt recognize her at first from firefly. i think this show
will do fine the only problem is the network.... hopefully after they get allot of us hooked on the
show they wont just drop it, they need to at least run it as long as the original ran..
as for bsg, i lost interest with that show, not because of quality, but more-so due to the long
breaks, i made it almost through the 4th season and that was it, but bsg i believe was one of the
best sci-fi re-makes to date, and i am looking forward to seeing more of caprica if tey ever do make
the decision to run it!

hands down the original was much better, the story line that is. this remake is all over the place
and didn't build a very good story line. granted the special effects are much better but i would
expect that 30 years latter. i intend to watch the entire series simply because i am a sci fi fan
but the excitement of waiting for the next episode has worn off. thanks for this show eztv because
i doubt it will ever be aired here in thailand.
