Pre-premiere show killer NBC does it again Southland Cancelled for "being too dark"

that is really disappointing. i don't usually do cop shows but this one was excellent.

i think nbc is going to find that many of it's procedurals that used to air at 10pm are not
well-suited for the 9pm slot and would all be considered "too dark". however, nbc does have the
sunday 10pm slot open (the only non-leno opening) where it could air southland. then again with
leno's decaying ratings, it may not be long before dramas return to late night.

it was kinda like "cops" with a script.. but a good script.. liked the show a lot.. dont watch any
other cop shows and its a shame how they just throw away a show like this

too dark mm.... ok then let fx network pick it up. how about son of anarchy then southland on
tuesday night's 11:00pm for southland.

this really gets my blood boiling when i read stuff like this! i was so looking forward to the second
season and now this! what's wrong with nbc! don't they know when they have something good. i
really liked this show. it's the only cop show i stay home to watch.
