codecs ?

to play a video torrent file that has benn uploaded in the form of about 60 .r
flies what do you do. i am beginning to notice (not on eztv) that there are
lots of annoying poeple out there that do this and i cant work out how to play
them - does anyone have any advice

lol. its been compressed. thats all. get winrar and unrar (extract) the first
file and a avi or mpeg or whatever it is will appear which you can watch. this
has nothing to do with codecs.

.rar files are like .zip files... you need to get winrar, and un-rar them.. just
like how you un-zip zipped files....

you did not get a rar'ed file from here at eztv.. so why did you ask about it
here?... why didn't you ask where you got it at?..

rar'ed files are the original form of all the files as they come from the
cappers initially... eztv extracts the .avi for us, later on down the food
chain.. but everyone needs to stop acting like .rar files are something rare or
obscure, when in fact, all those videos you've ever downloaded, were at one
point originally in rar's..

krypto is right, however, krypto maybe they got the file from mininova or a
rapidahre link and decided to ask a website that normally does televison to
answer the question.
