Why link their own post? Makes no sense, as if they didn't know they posted it.
I answered in the FIRST post, along with Leah giving many options, so needing to
post again is just laziness or a fake request, like many here. And laziness warrants
zero response in my opinion, if a user CAN'T be bothered to check there own threads
then ignore them.
That's why I posted nobody reply because... Ignorance is bliss. They ignore their
own posts, we ignore the rest they do post.
By fully ignoring them that's making them bask in their ignorance if you think about
it, your leaving them two alternatives, go without or check the first thread.
Telling them as I did, not linking their first thread, it left them two options...
This way users can learn, finding and offering it up on a plate, they never will and will
continue to keep doing it because it's the easy option.
Remember this site has NO mods, so the best way to counter that problem and the
problems like that the site faces (in the best possible way) is all the users that DO
help stick together, teach the other users, not serve things up on a plate.
I've said before people should stop linking other sites, magnets, ddl's ect and only
offer locations, site names, sometimes things need linking i get that, but there's
better ways to manage or help manage an unmanned site.
I never saw your comment about just leading requesters to the location of a file they seek without 'spoonfeeding' them
with the actual link. Not a bad idea and I will follow up on that.
I just think that's a fair and reasonable way to help, as well as teach others and spot
irritating repeat posting users!
As I put it some stuff should be linked say for example, imdb links, difficult YT links,
threads where a solution has been given ect.
But for files, authors, direct links, things that can be identified easily with a simple
direction to site search and explanation if needed, again things like a mislabeled
files for instance that works as well as files that don't or are broken, make one
thread with a fix and repeat posts (as people love that) we only post that one thread
link or just totally ignoring them would be better lmfao.
Seems like a positive way to approach dealing with a mass of these users.
