don't know any actors apart from joel gretsch. he would fit the mike donovan character nicely.
i am in two minds about this show. v-the original two-parter was brilliant, v-the final battle less so
(sparkly starchild, really?!), v-the series was mostly crap apart from a few episodes.
some of the characters in all three v incarnations were great, my favourites being the "good" alien
martin (and later his "identical twin" philip), and the cute pairing of harmy & willie.
keeping my fingers crossed that the remake will stay true to the original in having not just truly nasty
aliens but 5th columnists who fight for the humans, that concept worked really well.
what i am looking forward to most - apart from my favourite 5th columnist alien martin (or whatever
his name this time) - is of course what a difference 26 years of special effects development will have
made. can't wait for the cgi effects! and more credible alien make-up...
i'd also like the emphasis being on reference to current conflicts rather than wwii.
i was a huge fan of "v" back in the day, like many shows it was a "love it or hate it" situation.
having elizabeth mitchell in it is reason enough for me to watch it - i think she's a very pretty lady.
looking at the rest of the cast list - as has already been said - not many well known ones in
there......but thinking back to the original "v" - i think the cast list with one or two exceptions were
relative unknowns.
i'd be hopeful that they stick to the original "v" two parter and avoid the "v-final battle" (which was
awful).
there is talk on imdb that approaches have been made to/from jane badler (who played diana) -
wouldn't that be cool if they brought back some of the old cast! michael ironside (who played ham
tyler) moved on to bigger and better things after v....but he'd still be pretty cool in it!
