i live outside the us so rely heavily on the good will of seeders to be able to
leech from. i saw the pilot of fringe when it was released on eztv and i loved
it! i think low numbers for the season premiere could have a lot to do with the
fact that a large number have already seen it. it will be interesting to see if
viewing numbers dramatically increase next week. i haven't much interest in
90210 and i have been watching tslotat each week...quite enjoy it.

frustration is when networks are cancelling interesting shows... that could
happen to fringe, because, maybe, it's not the kind of cop-csi-detective people
seems to enjoy nowadays, maybe people don't want to watch this particular show
because it could be over without a proper end in 3/4 months maybe less.
think about surface, invasion, kidnapped, day break...

i watched fringe earlier today , honestly the story is promising but most of the
cast is just terrible .. especially the lead actress !!

and few things in the plot i just couldn't ignore ..
1- how on earth can an fbi agent be allowed to threaten an innocent us citizen
and blackmail him to do whatever she wants !
2- how on earth can an fbi agent be allowed to take the body of a chemically
poisoned patient out of the hospital just because she wants to ! , i know he was
not contagious but seriously i can't believe the over protective government
would just let her take it like that !!
3- how on earth can an fbi agent dispatch pd to chase another fbi agent just
like that , no questions asked !
4- the scientist's son was pissed at her the whole episode because she deceived
him but he magically became cool with her and worried about her at the end after
she lost him his new job and dragged him all the way from iraq!
5- every single fbi agent has a private plane at their proposal !
6- if you are fbi agent you can pull all the strings and rules as long as your
lover is dieing .
7- even though fbi agents can do whatever they want any time any place (
according to this show ) , they still can't charge out a mad scientist out of
the highly secured mental facility , they still need some1 from his family to be
his guardian ! how ridicules is that

basically if you are fbi agent , you can do whatever the hell you want .

the only things i liked in this show are the mad scientist , his son and the
idea of experimenting on the world .. however the lead actress is just terrible
.. the only thing good about her is that she look like the amazing tilda swinton

unless they change the lead actress along with her boss and that other fbi who
asked her how did she see the suspect , i hope they cancel this show .

>spoiler alert<

1. not allowed, of course, but how could he prove that ? his life is more
important than any punishment she could/or not get.
2. isocrate, meet the patriot act, patriot act meet isocrate.
3. see no. 2.
4. he cares about other people and doesn't want to see them hurt, regardless
of the situation. and that's wrong because... ?
5. seeing as there was a plane full of dead bodies almost completely melted, the
prospect of a large scale terrorist attack with the same chemicals, i think this
action is quite appropriate, she needs all the help she can get.
6. yeah, pulling all strings that are available to save a loved one,
what's your point ?

this show is great and i'm looking forward to seeing the next episode. 🙂

typical fox, "wahhh! only 9 million people watched this, it's time to cancel
cancel cancel!!! and in it's spot, we'll put yet another lame ass reality program".

as for 902 having a drop in it's ratings, this is expected. i knew majority of
the people watching it only were because they were fans of the original show
that ended 10 years ago and most likely weren't going to continue watching past
the pilot.

show that will be cancelled by fox... i watched it... thought it was good...

all i can do is echo the other people who have brought up the history that fox
has in regards to canceling shows before they get properly off the ground
simply because they aren't ratings hits right out of the gate. nobody wants
to get attached to a show and then have the rug ripped from underneath them
with no warning simply because the networks still depend on the antiquated
nielson system. the entire world knows those numbers are far from accurate.

frankly, i'm surprised jj would even have anything to do with fox considering
how terrible they have treated other shows.

many people this year simply aren\'t aware of the fact the new
seasons
has even started. i\'d would wager you will see numbers across the board go up a
bit for networks after people realize they can turn off their csi reruns on
spike for a new show or two.

i think you nailed it ! .. i\'ve asked a coupe people if they saw fringe, and
that was the basic response.. that they intended to watch it, but didn\'t realize
it had started. i think that starting the season a little earlier than the
other networks was a gamble.. you could take off based on no competition, or
lose like they did in this case.. problem being it\'s a long episode, otherwise
they could have re-aired it prior to the new episode coming up.

well i guess im the odd sheep then in regards to this because i love fringe,
its a different take on the csi-type show, and yes the casting may be a bit
weak but i still enjoyed it and will continue to watch it as long as it airs..
im not very fussy.
