i totally hang out for this show. hate when it's fresh and there's hardly any
seeds. i know i should just be patient and wait for more seeds, but yeah...
cannot wait! best thing about getting it relatively early is that i can feel
good about seeding.

anyway, anyone read the book? is it pretty much like the series?

not read the book, but from a review i read it's quite similar, except that the
book relies more on the reporter being involved with the conversations and such,
whereas the show tends to lean more on taking the conversations and dramatising
them more with other guys seperate from the reporter.

also, there seems to be a few things about how people were in the show that
werent in the book, for instance, godfather didnt speak in the third person, etc..

little things, but overall i got the impression the book would be a great read!

this is such a great show. one of my favorite things is knowing it's a
mini-series. knowing that they have the storyline all planned out, and that
it's not going to drift into a seventh season where a crazy uncle moves in is a
very nice feeling. the mini-series needs to make a come back.

is any one else having a problem dl from here????,cuz im trying to dl generation
kill and in plain sight but its saying its gonna take weeks to dl, ive tried the
other mirrors but they are taking just as long. and i knw my internet is working
ok cuz im downloading a movie from another site and its dl just fine.

protect you from what? iraqis have never attacked us soil. they've attacked
americans serving in the army etc but that's about it. if the us hadn't of
invaded iraq, there would have been less american deaths than there have been.
im not saying that you shouldn't support your troops, "war" is essential in some
situations, but the "war" in iraq was brought about by your leaders' lies and
scare-mongering. no wmds have been found in over 5 years! it's not a "war", it's
just an invasion and occupation of another country, so you shouldn't dress it up
as something essential, because in this case the us army etc are only protecting
the ideals of the most powerful people in the us, not the safety of it's civilians.

got to say i agree with your logic totz, but then again i\'m not from the us so
that\'s to be expected.

anyway, i love this show but does anyone else think the dialogue sounds somewhat
unrealistic. i mean that a lot of the marines talk about things in a highly
educated manner and come across like they\'ve got philosophy phd\'s. in other
words they sound more like writers than warriors.

and then there\'s the issue of dissent - they\'re always bitching about kit,
battle field orders and their senior officers. again, to me this seems more like
the writers trying to make a point than the behaviour of real soldiers in a war
zone. however, as i don\'t know any us marines i could be entirely wrong. anyone
care to put me straight? are they all geniuses that spend the majority of their
time moaning, or is this production biased?
