abc has pulled the nine from its schedule, the network announced saturday. in
the series' place this wednesday, november 29, will be the 20/20, with a
permanent replacement tba.

abc pulled the nine for the last week of the pivotal sweeps period, when ratings
samples are taken to determine ad prices for the next year. the network says the
show will return later in the season.

just to fill anyone in.

the news comes in spite of a lackluster turnout for its special 40-minute
installment on november 16 - 5.2 million viewers and a 2.4 rating/6 share in
adults 18-49.

"rock" slides into its regular time period of thursdays at 9:30/8:30c this
week.

as abennett said... tv.com is far from gospel.... why bother getting your news
there, when you can get it more accurately from the futon critic ??..

as a quick example:
the tv.com report said that it will be replaced by "20/20" this week, with a
future replacement to be announced ??...
ummm... by reading the official press release at tfc, we can all see that
"primetime" will replace it after that... announced!

so lets all just trust tfc as our source from now on, since their news is
usually just to print the press release in its entirety anyway... okay?

while i agree that tv.com is far from gospel, it is one of the best setup tv
sites. it is the easiest to manuever, has the nicest desogn, and is the most
laid back. the discusion boards are pretty fun, and even though some of the
people on them are total idiots, its still fun. i get my acurate information
from tfc and eztv posts....you guys keep me informed 🙂

i only really use tv.com to get the episode names so i can rename the files when
they are down. the better half watches the nine so she wasn't happy at the news.
i guess i'm just used to the site i'll try to get familiar with the futon
critic. it does seem a lot more accurate.

if all you want is episode names, i'd recommend epguides.com - it uses the
tv.com database but presents the information in a very bare, simple format.
lists season/episode numbers to make things easier on you and allows you to view
the entire episode run of the show on a single, fast loading screen.

me neither i just didn't see that show going anywhere maybe it was good for like
2 tops 3 episodes but not drag out a story about a bank robbery for months boring.

i do agree with the above thoughts on the nine. i wasnt even going to use my
bandwidth on it .... but you cant argue with your missus.
