excellent!

better late than never. good thing i'm re-watching all stargate sg-1 and
atlantis eps from the beginning, and i'm only up to season 8 on sg-1 and season
1 on atlantis, so i was in no real hurry to get this. 😛

this file works just fine. also a 1.45gb rip on mininova (better quality as
1.09gb 720p x264 isn't all that great)

if you have no job and life then you can manage about 28 eps a week at 4 a day

my episodes per week count varies a lot, you know, based on what kind of madness
is happening in the real life.

i agree with death734.

i don't see much point in getting anything bigger that 350mb files for tv
episodes (isn't all that great)

thanks for the post. i just wish they come out a bit sooner like sunday or
something. but it's no big deal at all! i'd rather wait for them in hd! thanks
again :d

i tend to agree with rocky500. it's not about the best quality, it's about
watching them alongside everyone else or as close to as you can get. sometimes
you have to wait for months to see shows otherwise, which is rediculous!

sorry everyone i was actually been a little sarcastic.
here we have people saying you see the difference between 350mb and 1gb files
its great and i must get them. (to me it is very slight)
then on the other one which is bigger again we have someone saying there is
only a little difference to go from 1gb to 1.5gb version why bother.

now alot of people i know say the same about 350mb to 1 gb. especially in
australia as we have limited capped plans.

i would of thought for the people with 52" screens and above you would want
bigger versions when there is a difference no matter how slight.

i'm real jealous now. you all with no limits are all bast....!
i too would prefer the hd versions but end up using my quota each month just on
the 350mb versions.
thanks eztv for all the great shows and choices.

seen the first 2 seasons on tv, then they stopped broadcasting! so i`m greatful
for everything that`s comes along here! whe don`t have the luxery of a sci-fi
channel like in the united states! seen sg-1 all seasons and direct to dvd eps!
wich we eventually need to buy otherwise the series will end defenitly, which
would be a great disaster!!!! so keep up the atlantis torrents and great thx
from the netherlands!

well, i'm from aus, and yes, i'm on a limited plan, like everyone else.
(although i'm still running on an old plan with a decent limit of 36gb, and no
upload counting ... to a point) i very much appreciate the 720p rips of my
favorite shows, they are a lot better than the 350mb versions - anyone who can't
see the difference really should go and see their optometrist, and yes, i do
wear glasses. (seriously, you may not realise you aren't seeing a nice clear
picture! my younger sister commented that the text was blurry during our last
federal election tv coverage, not realising it was her eyes that were blurry,
not the tv!)

the 1100mb rips have 3 times the detail of the 350mb rips (simple pixel count)
and look excellent even on a 17" lcd (or even crt for that matter) at their
native 1280 wide resolution. if you are commenting that you can't see a
difference between the 2 and you are running in anything less than 1280x960
(4:3), or 1280x1024 (5:4 lcd), then you really should bump your screen res to
that or above because you're missing out on detail.

simple maths:
1280x720 = 921,600 pixels per frame.
640x360 = 230,400 pixels per frame.
well i surprised myself ... it's not 3 times better it's 4 times better! (i
forgot: it's 3 times better than ntsc dvd quality, and 2.22 times better than
pal dvd image quality.) 921,600 / 230,400 = 4 i guess it should have been
obvious from the fact that the dimensions are double in both directions.

think of it this way: take your 350mb rip, put another copy next to it, another
one below it, and another diagonally next to it, and that gives you the 720p
rip. it's a no brainer which one is better image quality. if you still can't
see the difference try blu ray quality - it's twice as good as 720p!

let's put it this way: the 720p rips (1100mb) look razor sharp in comparison to
the 360p rips (350mb). after making sure you are running in a high enough
resolution, if you can't see the difference: get your eyes checked. period.
seriously!

keep those 720p rips coming, they're excellent, and we really do appreciate
them. thanks to all concerned for making them available. also keep the 350mb
rips available for those who are either on a limited plan, can't see the
difference, or just want the ep as fast as possible. as for me, i wait for the
720p version (if they are being done) for my favorite shows like stargate, 24,
torchwood, etc.
