i must say i really liked it, good script, something little different. but
surely if you dnt like criminal series you wont like it, doh.
for me best pilot this season
it's psych but as a drama instead of a comedy. i didn't expect much, another
detective show? come on! but unlike previous posters i thought the opening
sequence was great. the rest of the show wasn't too bad either. i've seen a lot
worse in the recent preairs and i will definately give this show a chance.
i'm not even going to bother. it's a cbs show and cbs likes to torture people
interested in sci-fi type offerings by canceling the show. nina tassler is satan.
it's interesting to see that people are whining on about the fact that this is a
psych rip-off. uh-uh, no way. as my friend stated, it turns that program on its
head. which is a shame, as the recent episodes of season three of psych have
been somewhat lackluster. what the mentalist has to offer is the story arc of
patrick jane's nemesis, red john and why he has sleepless nights; juxtaposed
with his sharp observational skills. there's a good cast of actors and the fact
that david nutter directed the pilot, only lends gravitas to the genre. and
simon baker's us accent is very good, considering he's an aussie.
comparing this to psych is like comparing house and scrubs. oh, they both have
an anoying abraisive, but brilliant sarcastic doctor, and a chief of medicine
thats an ass, and both take place in hopsitals! i love psych, but i also love
both scrubs and house. maybe because i have too much time on my hands, or
don't spend time watching sports, who knows.
