just download the klite codec pack (google it) and get the codecs to play
almost every file type, you can select which codecs to install if you don\'t
want to install the complete pack. it is very easy to configure, if you don\'t
like the standard setup.

did avast say why it quarantined? i scanned with norton's but got no threats.

use mpc or vlc to play anything you want, without possible conflicts from
codecpacs that have way too many codecs.

it's actually not a pain to watch it on any tv or monitor n the house, all
controlled by a wireless keyboard like a remote that switches between thousands
of media files (unlike dvd's or whatever)
so along with the 5.1 surround sound speakers....
i guess it's a hands-free / hand's down, better way than you're doing it 😛
