no, because both the forum and the tracker are back online

hi eazbak

thanx for your reply to my query regarding dht. like you, i see more advantages
for mvg with dht allowed, so i do think it is a top priority motion for your
next team meeting.

btw, it's great to see you here actively working with the community to smooth
out these one or two teething probs - please try to ignore our resident trolls
and tamagotchis.

it's good to see mvg back online again ... and as suggested by foodguy, adding
http://eztv.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce to mvg torrents gets the file
started when mvgroup is offline. maybe if mvg decide to include an additional
tracker, u might want to chat to someone about either having the eztv tracker
added to your torrents, the pb vip or open tracker, or even getting a pb
tracker of your own (i dunno what this entails tho).

cheers!

eazbak,

may i too thank you for personally responding to many of the questions raised
here. i have to concurr with previous posters that using dht would greatly
alleviate your tracker server load as well as speed up distribution of
releases. also, as has been mentioned, would it be possible to add the eztv
tracker to your releases? i don't see how mvgroup really gains anything by
partnering with eztv if they don't use any of eztv's trackers. if anything,
it only serves to put a higher load on your systems given the mandates (no
dht, etc.) under which your sysops have decided to run mvgroup's site. just
my 2 cents...

eztv tracker aside, mvgroup gains a wider audience and larger peer base ofc!
another bonus to the extra exposure mite be that some ignorant ppl might
actually learn something ... and educating the masses can't be a bad thing in
our current world climate. lol.

you are right tho spev in that the increased exposure of mvgroup thru eztv is
going to be an added load to their systems ... but with dht allowed, would an
extra tracker be required at all? and if so, then any of tpb public trackers
should do the trick.

i'd also like to let eztv members know about the "adopt a series" program at
mvgroup - a neat idea in which members pledge to keep doco/s of their choice
seeded. more info is available on the mvg forums http://forums.mvgroup.org/

checking this thread for a week or so.

of it all.
