no it isn't...why do they make this crap? show this stuff to me
when i buy a
dvd as an "extra". i get presented with enough crap already on cable, the least
they could do is make the stuff they show us worth our while.
sg1 makes a break (as always) and you complain that they try to entertain you
meanwhile ? what did you expect ?
idiots i here you but your going to be flamed, just recently went through the
same thing with lost(ill never watch that show again) basically hollywood is
weird bro so you can just boycott or deal with the crap specials(i dont have
time for them either) and yes bless the people who take the time to release.
im glad this show is in it's last season perhaps joey, family guy, cops, 3
million shows about doctors, or 5 csi's, can take it's place.
they didn't put this shit on the air because they were on break, they aired it
in august in conjuction with the 200th episode. why it's being reposted again
is beyond me.
most shows on cable air half a season, then air the 2nd half a few months later.
it's either that or have it run 7-8 months with intermittent reruns sprinkled
in between new eps like most network shows. that's the way it is. live with it.
it doesn't have to be one of those two options though. take for instance the way
they did "24" last season. they did a thing where they had a shortened season
with no reruns and no breaks. sure, you have to wait a couple months longer
between seasons than you normally would, but it is totally worth it.

it amazes me that alot of people think that stargate sg-1 is exclusively an
american programme and it is only aired there. it says pdtv which means it
comes from the good ol' uk as we just saw 200 last week. so it is not being
reposted, its a whole entire new cap.
we'll see new episodes of sg-1 when sky one air them in january, i actually
reckon we'll have finished sg-1 before scifi starts showing s10e11 in march.
skiffy isn\'t going to show sg-1 without airing sga to follow--they are sister
shows and many eps tie in with each other.
and they\'d never move sg-1 to 7 pm (a time they reserve for repeats or airing
shows that they\'ve bought the rights to air from another network). so, with
doctor who and battlestar airing, they have no room for both sg\'s. thus, the
break until after they air the much shorter doctor who season.
they do this for a couple of reasons: premiering the sg\'s in summer pretty much
guarantees that there will be no competition for ratings, at least until the
networks debut their fall season--and by that time they are hoping the fans will
either skip or tivo the network shows in favor of watching the ones they\'ve
already invested a few weeks in. but i think the execs know those shows can\'t
hold their own against the networks for the entire fall season, so they break to
air the much stronger battlestar and doctor who (which also snags ratings away
from the networks on the chance people weren\'t watching the sg\'s).
its simply a numbers game. i hate it, and have always hated it--but even the
networks do it (replacing lost with daybreak, for example, at least until after
the traditionally bad for ratings holiday season). kinda makes me wish all
shows only had a 13 ep non-interrupted season...even if it means fewer episodes.

yep, which is why i have been watching sky one torrents of sg-1 and sga for the
past two years. 🙂 i hate to wait, and with such great cappers out there, i am
glad i don't have to!
