stonehenge had always fascinated me. this, however, disappointed me. i think the
purpose the site was built goes beyond just a religious and cultural tradition.
i've read and seen a report of an astronomer who demonstrated that stonehenge
was some kind of an observatory which can predict the seasons of the year, as
well as lunar and solar eclipses that goes beyond the technological knowledge of
the civilization that built it. the speculation is someone with very advanced
knowledge motivated the primitives of the time to build it under his/their
guidance for purposes other than just to exercise religious and cultural traditions.

i was present when some guys made a hugely complicated one and it's very
difficult, but as to why a scientist would be investigating them is beyond me.
