i'd like to 2nd that...steven moffat is a damn good writer. i'd got bored of it
all and the guy comes in to save the series tbh.

i agree, too. i had been slightly disappointed by the latest episode, the show
seemed to lose its pace, but that episode was amazing.

best episode yet, on a side note i read couple of days ago that the good news
torchwood will be back in the spring of 2009, but the bad news instead of 13
episodes there will be just 5 episodes done over 5 days (monday-friday) i say
if this turns out to be true all i can say is don`t bother with it at all and
to the genius that came up with it either russell t davis or whoever screw you.

p.s. i `have finished my little rant but i consider torchwood one of the best
programmes on television at the moment, i still think that killing off two main
characters at the end was a mistake should of been just one.

i haven't had a chance to watch this yet, but to all those saying/thinking this
is the best episode yet, how does it compare to moffat's previous work on "blink"?
to me, that episode was absolutely killer, and many others consider it one of
the best so far. is this one better than blink even?! :-)

i'll be crazy surprised if it surpasses blink for me personally.

ditto! i think it's pretty much a general agreement amongst the diehard fans
that blink was no doubt one of the best of the new seasons since 2005. and the
funny part is that the doctor and martha were hardly even in the episode due to
filming commitments for the 2 part episode that followed.
just goes to show that good writing goes a long way in creating a fantastic
episode!

i didn't like this episode or last weeks episode at all. i loved "blink", but
these episodes were awful imo. i hope this low level isn't what moffat is going
to bring when he takes over as head writer. sorry to all the "moffat is god,
davies suck!"-crazies, but these two episodes are stupid. i don't have anything
against either davies or moffat, so i just judge them based on how they do their
job. i hope "blink" wasn't a fluke of moffat's... and i hope he get back to
writing great episodes again. most of you seem to like this episode and last
weeks episode, so i guess the majority liked it even though i didn't.

it's no "blink," which is a burnished jewel. it's no "the girl in the
fireplace" either.

but these two most recent episodes are still crackerjack entertainment and a
cut above the usual who episode. wildly imaginative, complex (or maybe
confusing, or both), often wonderous, and not something you see every week,
even on this show. also loopy, but then this is who.

it's very, very good.

real good solid two-parter. another feather in moffat's cap.

although i cannot understandthe constant moaning about the series in general,
it is definitely better that most other shows - despite being watchable by
children - what's he problem with that? but i agree this one was another top
episode, although they could have spared the last shaft scene w/o the platform
(this does not spoil anything, but anyone who has seen it will know what i
mean) that was a bit pushing it over the edge, a lil like indy 4 ;-)
