wow that is something else to go that far.
well i wish them luck.
i'd like a few more seasons myself.
if they fail i'm glad they had the 7 episodes to give it an ok ending.
this blows chances that other shows will have of being resurrected. the bottom
line is that jericho was a very mediocre show at best, poor acting, poor
technical work and often quite poor scripts. it did deserve to be axed after
it's first season. they fans clamored to have it back, it was brought back -- it
was worse, much worse -- and it failed even more specularly.
this is bad for other shows. at some point when there is a high quality show
canceled - firefly, wonderfalls, drive, etc, etc ,etc the network execs will
turn around and say -- "look, we gave you what you wanted with jericho, and it
sucked even more when it came back" so no, we're not going to bring your
favorite show back, even if it does have critical acclaim (something jericho,
rightly, never had).
please, jericho fans, for the love of good tv please, please, please stop. your
show is dead. leave it buried. you are only doing harm at this point.
well... as said fan..fan of whatever show. they need fuel to their needs. i'm
jericho fan and i need more of it. lots of good shows are axed lately which is
shame to cable networks. jericho fans....at least they try to do something about it.
let it go, people! the final ep was fine and tied everything up nicely. the show
could have quite easily removed ten-thirteen episodes from season one and it
wouldn't have made a difference to the storyline.
as for people who are not tv studio staff spending that much money - well, it's
disgusting. send those nuts to people in new orleans, use the money you used for
the sign for anything else!!! it's over, concentrate your time and money on
matters that concern the world, if you can't do that, invest that money in some
training, spend thirty years working in tv, become a producer/exec and make your
own mediocre shows.
conceptually jericho was brilliant and very timely and perhaps thats why its
been axed and starved of cash/resources. perhaps the elites think us plebs are
not to be fed such conspiracy stories fictional or factual especially in the
times of the dangling chads et. al.
its an upward slog for jericho against almost impossible odds but that is the
true american spirit displayed by the outstanding fans of jericho. this is even
more so when you consider the pap-smear series that are renewed time and time
again as relevant and powerful series fall by the way side.
i just wish the fans fought that hard for firefly... that
was a show worthy
of the effort.
sorry but jericho and firefly had much in common in my view, interesting
premises let down by poor execution, both were cancelled because not enough
people wanted to watch, which is tough if you liked those shows but what
exactly do you expect the networks to do?
my wife and i are fans who have been there since day 1. since before the pilot
first aired. we were hooked just on the previews. they, and the show are top
notch all the way. i have to quote two earlier comments, if i might. jericho
was, [and is - in my personal opinion] the best show on tv in over a decade.
and the other quote? complimenting the fans of jericho, this second comment i
found read, \"its an upward slog for jericho against almost impossible odds but
that is the true american spirit displayed by the outstanding fans of jericho.
this is even more so when you consider the pap-smear series that are renewed
time and time again as relevant and powerful series fall by the way side.\"
i fully, and totally agree, and i fully support the fans\' efforts to find
another venue for this well-written, well-acted, timely series. i want to see
many, many more seansons; seasons of more than 7 episodes each.
and one more important thought, an omission for which i apologize. commercial
networks don't give any show the chance for success they once did. m*a*s*h
didn't really take off in the ratings until its third year on the air.
nowadays, if a show isn't an instant hit, it gets the axe. can you imagine all
the wonderful, informative and entertaining storylines we would have missed if
m*a*s*h had been cancelled in its first year?
i also think they need a ratings system where all viewers can vote, not just
those that are selected by nielson or other ratings services. with the internet
and other modern technology, this can be done; so they can't say it's not
possible. give the viewers a real say in which shows are kept for another
year.
yes, my wife and i are proud to be true jericho supporters, and will remain so!

this man knows what hes talking. i was going to say the show sucked, but we can
go with mediocre instead. i mean you have to have one horrible show to get
canceled twice. let it go and find a new (read: actually worth watching) t.v.
show of choice.
