xor really isn't having a good week.

this is also jumpy. it's like crappy stop-motion (or a 1920's b&w film) from the
credits until 19:55.

update: it plays perfectly well with vlc

here are the details on the proper, but on a quick scan through this "unproper"
version with bsplayer, i didn't find any audio problems:

it's a codec issue.
i downloaded the latest from
codecguide.com/features_kl.htm#full
and it fixed this, daybreak, and grey's anatomy all from xor this week.

hey, i was able to watch this show in nero showtime without any problems. i
tried it in media player first and it was shakey as discussed above and even
after downloading the codecs suggested by guavamike, i still had this problem.
but nero showtime worked fine.. =) so there is no need to download the proper
rip if you have already downloaded this version (imo)

can anyone speak to which specific codec (if that's indeed the problem) causes
the "shakes" on a handful of recent videos (i've seen it on this one as well as
one other recent one that i can't recall now)?

installing a codec pack is not a good solution, since it's never a good idea to
blanket your system with those.

btw, the reason it's not seen in vlc is that it uses its own built-in decoding,
so let's assume that we're talking about other players.

k-lite is the only codec pack i have ever installed, plus quicktime and
realplayer packages from their official websites.
i was 5 or 6 builds behind on k-lite so i uninstalled my old package and then
installed the new full pack fresh and while i can't give you any specifics, it
sure fixed all my viewing problems. so, either an older codec was the problem or
a newer codec was the solution, but it worked, so happy me!
