Media Player Help/Suggestions

i downloaded this file from demonoid:

and i've had tons of issues in playing it. i've tried all the players i've
installed (winamp, divx, wmp). i've even installed several codecs. i've gotten
it to play in vlc & windows media player classic, but it either causes vlc to
crash, or becomes out of sync in wmp classic. can someone please give me some
suggestions??

thanks for the suggestion. luckily i found the normal hr hdtv on usenet so i'm
downloading it as we speak.

you probably need both the coreavc and coreaac codecs.

well i've used vlc with 720p videos on windows and os x and its been fine. i use
vlc for everything and i've never had a video that doesn't play and i don't have
a single codec installed that doesn't come with windows or os x.
