jason dohring made several comments about storylines planned for second season
if it'd been given then go ahead too, dealing with vampire mythology and
historic events that actually involved vampires.
why is it when a good tv series these days comeout they get canned the next
season. i will say i wasn't a big fan but i did watch the show periodicaly
with my girlfriend who loves the show. i believe a show should get at least 2
seasons before it is cancelled. i have found out that a show may not be that
interesting the first couple of episodes but when i see it the next season it
gets alot better.
new amsterdam and now moonlight what is wrong with these people! my two fav
shows just cut to the floor. thats it i'm not watching tv anymore!...ok well
maybe i will...and they know that the bastards! the inhumanity!

*sigh*
the only two new shows i really got into this year...it figures they'd both get
canceled.
and i've pretty much stopped watching tv. i dl everything now. it used to be
that i would do this because i didn't have tivo and would have to miss a couple
shows a night while watching something else; then it became a convenience issue;
now i do it to take a stand against networks abandoning shows that don't deliver
mega-numbers right out of the gate.
both shows delivered average numbers (and na consistently gave better than
average) for their night and times, and in most cases won their time slots. a
couple of years ago they would have been lauded as successes but since the first
season of lost and stupid reality programming like ai and that dance nightmare,
everything is expected to launch with record-breaking numbers.
i have no faith either network will give us shows that will do better...let
alone have the same quality.
they're cutting off their noses to spite their faces and come this time next
year i predict they will be wishing they'd held onto these shows.
now that it is dead i will say that even though i have seen every episode and i
do enjoy it, something has really irked me from the start: he's way too good. a
vampire with no character flaws and more morals than the humans around him? even
'angel' was mean compared to this guy, and in that case it was explained in the
storyline. that sort of made the 'zomg it sucks so bad to be a vampire' premise
fall very flat. maybe they should have written him with wings instead of fangs,
because in many ways it was the silliest vampire story i have seen so far. but
i'm a big fantasy fan so it's always sad to lose a show.
