aliens in america piqued my interest for the same reason other
less-than-one-seasoners do. it's interesting, new twist on the 10, or is it 12
archetypes of shows we've all seen in the vein of twenty good years, welcome to
the captain, or andy barker, p.i. i love raja's ability to be there in the
moment, and be totally unaware of something happening in the background. then
there's gary aka scott patterson, aka luke!! from gilmore girls. i guess his
agent or his contract dictates he doesn't have to sit around waiting for another
family show to kick off. gg didn't hit its mainstream stride until season 3
after it was no longer a guilty pleasure for men and anyone under 30 to watch
it. quick-witted and family fun tv is on the fritz at least for the major
networks ☹️``
who's up for destroying nmr's hold on "ratings" research?
<rant>god's just jealous cw doesn't worship him after the execs killed off joan
of arcadia so... uneloquently.
cbs + wb apparently means "lets try to be just like cbs, except for younger
people". cbs has always shifted toward the 50-ish crowd. and with warner
deciding it's not worth it to milk primetime viewers anymore, they rely on their
other networks for revenue stream. after veronica mars was unceremoniously axed
after the teaser of jumping forward into the fbi @ quantico... i guess they
decided oth was more worthy of that plot development. so oth lead in the cw's
ratings this year until people actually warmed up to the "fresh" new shows.
smallville and supernatural probably didn't help the network with contracts
un-confirmed. and for basic cable, cw's what you get without "newer" networks
like http://the-n.com if it's even in your area.
don't get me wrong.. i actually watch the show. it's just.. i was never wow
after an episode.. like i am with eli stone and the like. it's all mediocre.
