i think it's time to start phasing out the low-res copies and focus our
bandwidth on hr and 720p releases.
this old format has been around since the divx 3.11 days and it's time to retire it.
storage comes cheap, and every one has enough bandwidth; a 3 or 4 times increase
in file size isn't going to be a problem.

totally agree with you, heifer.
i started pushing the standard releases aside a while ago, getting almost every
show in 720p nowadays. i truly hope more people are getting tired of those
-sorry to say- crappy, blurry 350mb files by and by.

not gonna happen...
evertibe doesn't have big broadband connections or uncapped accounts, for those
2 simple reasons the 350mb releases will continue to be the download of choice
for most people.

i have to agree with two messages up. in some countries (such as mine,
australia) bandwidth is expensive, for some people 1gb can cost them 140 usd
(seriously). i personally pay 2 usd per gb, but i am capped at 80gb per month
and i only get the low low price of 2 bucks a gig because i prepay my 80gb cap
at 160 us dollars per month. i pay 160 dollars a month and i have the best deal
around.
think about poor sods like us before you demand the lower file sizes be taken
away >_>
