In Milan, they learn why refugees leave supposedly safe countries. Heated arguments erupt over distinguishing 'genuine' refugees from economic migrants. Meanwhile, the other Brits arrive on the small Italian island of Lampedusa, meeting refugees heading into Europe. Nathan's views are challenged, and emotions run high. Reunited in the Alps, the two groups tackle a treacherous trek through the mountains into France, clashing over illegal border crossings.
